ATEEZ’s Seonghwa Appointed Honorary Ambassador of Hometown Jinju: “I Will Do My Best to Promote My Hometown”
Global K-pop star Seonghwa of ATEEZ has been officially appointed as an honorary ambassador for Jinju, South Gyeongsang Province. The ceremony took place on December 19 at the Jinju Silk Museum, with Seonghwa and local officials in attendance.
Seonghwa, who spent his school years in Jinju, was chosen for the role due to his strong connection to his hometown. The city expects to leverage his global influence and communication with fans to promote Jinju’s cultural and tourism assets on an international scale.
Following the ceremony, Seonghwa participated in a mini talk show and one-day mentoring events, engaging with fans and expressing his love for his hometown. A special exhibition featuring Seonghwa and Jinju will also be held at the Jinju Silk Museum until the end of January next year.
Seonghwa shared his thoughts, saying, “It is a great honor to serve as an honorary ambassador for my hometown. I will do my best to showcase Jinju’s culture, nature, and history to the world.”
Meanwhile, ATEEZ is scheduled to perform at the ‘2025 SBS Gayo Daejeon with Bithumb’ on December 25.
